There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends
I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life, I've loved them all

Thought I would continue that lyric a bit longer than usual.
I want that song played at my funeral, then you guys can go ahead and tap the keg.
Then go ahead and dispose of my ashes, in accordance with what you thought my final wishes may have been.

Crikey, it's been hectic lately. Sorry for not updating this more. It will be sporadic for the next couple weeks. The semi gets loaded up on Thursday (including my car!). We leave the Dam Friday night/Saturday morning at about 3, and hope to power straight through and arrive in Bozeman on Saturday night. The Subaru will be locked and loaded, with me, India, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and the unabridged CD version of Dan Brown's Angels and Demons.
My dad was an incredible help yesterday. We tackled the biggest, nastiest portion of the basement yesterday, and totally completed it. This was the part of the house that had me waking up at 4 a.m., drenched in sweat.
He was a trooper. Thanks, dad.
After that, I went over to T-Rex's house and hung out. We went to see Star Wars (2nd time for me- T-Rex hadn't seen it). Hayden Christensen's horrendous acting stood out even more the second time.
Damn, though, I am going to miss T-Rex, his wife, Ali, and their son, JM, and their beautiful little baby, Birdy. I know we will see them again, but living a few blocks away has been fantastic.
It is getting pretty sad. People are saying their final goodbyes. Some people, I know we'll never see again. I know we will be back here for holidays and visits and what-have-you, but with a limited timetable, you only spend time with the core group of friends and family.
India and I took a looooong walk along the lake the other day. I am going to miss all the water and greenery Wisconsin offers...
I have been doing a ton of exercising to maintain my sanity. This helps tremendously, especially now that I stopped relying on my dear friend, the twelve-pack of beer, as a tried and true stress reliever. Instead I have a new friend, Inhuman Amounts of Caffiene. It is nice to wake up without a hangover and a pissed off spouse.
We had some really good friends stop by on Memorial Day. Let's call them Ashton and Demi. They met in Sturgis a few years back and have been together ever since. Ashton previously made a career of punking forest fires, but now he works for a huge biotech company in Minneapolis. Demi chases Harleys, talks plenty of shit and entertains everyone she runs across. (She actually rivals me in the shit-talking department.) She also screws every underage guy she can get her mitts on. Until she met Ashton, that is. Now she just screws him.
It was great to see them, and I know we will be seeing them again soon in Montana. Ashton is an avid skier, and I know he will visit. Demi is just plain avid. Or rabid. She does foam at the mouth when she sees a Harley. Plus she went to college with India, and is one of her closest friends...
Anyway, it is ALWAYS great to see them.
Ashton took some pictures-
Ashton, me, India, Puck and Barney-
Me and my mail-order bride, India-
That's it for now.
