Once I thought I saw you, in a crowded hazy bar...

Can someone tell me when Nicholas Cage became a complete douchebag?

One of the coolest guys, then one day...sudden and total douchebaggery.

Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Valley Girl, Raising Arizona, Vampire's Kiss, Wild at Heart, Red Rock West, Leaving Las Vegas....

The next minute, he's all Con Air, The Rock, Captain Corelli's National Treasure...

What the fuck happened?

I mainly liked ConAir but I found National Treasure unbelievable (though I did like some parts...the way I might a fairy tale). Some of the character such as "Cyrus, The Virus" and the un-feminine lady were really annoying.

Don't forget that sleepy little gem The Family Man.

Personally, I rather enjoyed Face/Off, the whole tongue-in-someone-else's cheek feel of it.

check out Cage's entry on imdb.com. Quantity, not quality, dude. Sprinkled amongst his early masterpieces are a couple of real stinkers, too.

I wanted to see Face Off...I don't remember if I ever did.

I did watch ConAir on Encore today.

I am looking foward to seeing if Ghost Rider is done well.

I like how they try to give him a slightly different haircut or a wig in every movie, but they can never escape the voice.

My cousin loved Con-Air; he also claims the funniest two hours of his life, hands down, were when he went to see Carrot Top at the Brick Breeden fieldhouse.

Vampire's Kiss from 1989 is one of his most edgy and hilarious performances. The movie's a classic. I gotta make a note to re-rent it this weekend for Halloween.
