What up?

All you duders who emailed... everything is fine and dandy, and we will now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

I am back home in Montana now after three weeks of visiting friends and family. It was great to see Mom, Dad, my sister and my nephew (and namesake) for the first time. What a cute little shaver. I also got to spend some quality time with Ashton, T-Rex, Alison, the Bird, JM, Husker, P, Killer, UJ, the-soon-to-be-Mrs.-UJ-and-currently-in-dire-need-of-her-own-nickname, Antuan Randle El and Finnamus G. Dawgimus. I also had a real nice visit with one of my former partners and her daughter. I am glad that all is well back at the firm...

Unfortunately, my stint with Prince ended.

Badly.

During a performance, I split my pants right up the back, and my Purple Ass got fired.

Now, I gotta think of something else to occupy my time. Other than Keeping It Real, which is a full-time job. Anyway, now that my chest is shaved and oiled, I am sure opportunities will open up.

Bells picked me up last night from the aeropuerto, and there is a lot of snow on the ground. He secured the perimeter at Big Sky while I was out of town. I am locked and loaded, baby.

Me, Molly and Joey, recreating a well-known photo my dad took years ago.

I met a kid in the airport yesterday. He was dressed in full camo, boots, etc. He's 22. He had just finished 14 months in Iraq, and was home in Minnesota for a couple weeks visiting family and friends. He received a call on Tuesday telling him to be at the airport Friday, and that he would be returning to Iraq for another year. He is infantry, by the way.

He spent last Christmas in Iraq, and he will be spending this Christmas there, too.

God Bless, Shannon. Take care and come home safely.

Gotta go. There are two dogs and two cats that desperately need my attention.

And I thought his sisters were some of the cutest kids I'd ever seen. Joey's a little doll! Very nice picture of the 3 of you! Post the original sometime?

Glad you are back. Sorry about the pants. Hope the itching doesn't drive you crazy as the hair grows back.

I hope that this boy comes home safely. He has to be terrified.

we can pretend it's not there but that war touches us all.

Godspeed, Shannon.

My brother in law is on his way home after his second stint in Baghdad. He's a civilian working for a communications company with an Army contract.

Godspeed, UB.
