Yes I am alone but then again I always was, as far back as I can tell
I think maybe it's because, because you were never really real to begin with

I just made you up to hurt myself
I just made you up to hurt myself
I just made you up to hurt myself, yeah
And I just made you up to hurt myself

And it worked!
Yes it did!

My digital music situation is a nearly unredeemable mess. iTunes hasn't functioned since Baxter died, despite multiple uninstallations and reinstallations, thereby banishing much of my music to an unreachable netherworld. Windows Media Player (which blows goats, lustily) can only access a mere 1038 songs, a paltry 5 gigs, a scant 66 hours worth of my collection, a robust 5000+ song, 45-days-long, 18 gigs, lurking somewhere ON THIS FUCKING HARD DRIVE.

(At this point, I am fervently wishing I was not such a technological idiot, with absolutely no trace of "savant.")

What's that you say?

Turn around and play a cd?

Egad, man, as a species, we've evolved beyond that.

Have a nice day.

Technology has turned me into such a music junkie -- I mean with real junkie-like characteristics. I build a tolerance to my song dosages and constantly need more - -

I am assuming that you are on Windows XP with Media Player 10? Make sure that you have latest updates.

Can you see the songs when you browse your machine? Like through Windows Explorer or just by going thru My Computer?

Did you try going to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ and look for your issue?

If you give more details on what the problem is I would be more than willing to research it more for you.

Hey, Kyle... Yes, I am running that. I read the whole support site, and tried everything they said. I even ran system restore.

I have abso-freakin'-lutely no idea what happened.

The tunes area only visible in something that looks like a spreadsheet. I "exported" the library from itunes to my music to make sure the songs would stay when I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes...

Oy.

Joe -

I would email you directly but I am not sure which email address of yours is correct anymore. I mean I live through this blog :)

Open iTunes. Click on Edit | Preferences. Then click on the Advanced tab. In the general section it should state where on the local C: drive the music files are located.

If needed, you can change the location or Reset the location.

This is key remember this.

Click on Start | Search | For Files or Folders. Then search for *.m4a These are all of your music files. If they are not in the same location as above, either move them or chnage the location in iTunes to match.

Now, I do not have an iPod. My wife has one that I got her for her birthday. I am just a Techno geek iPod wanna be. ((Note: an mp3 player is not an iPod))

Everything I read says to make sure that you have the most current version of iTunes.

Due all he said, and if need be go to winamp.com and DL that player to listen to the tunes. It's a little more forgiving then ITunes is.
