Just settlin' into your bright, sunshiney day.
You booted up your computer, checked your email.
Thinkin'... fuck.
It's Friday.
I wonder what Duder did last night?
Did he have a fun Thursday?
Yes, indeed, he did.
He had a full night of investigative work.
It started by going deep cover.
Blended into the crowd.
Crept up on some friends, Leo, Nanner, Holly.
Sat in the 15th row, stage left.
Sat through Pearl Jam.
They played about two hours.

My dad and I stayed undercover.
Real inconspicuous-like.
Then, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers played.
Again, they played about two hours.
And, then...
Finally.
We got to the bottom of it.
It may come as a shock to most of you.
Are you sitting down?
It appeared that Tom Petty may very well have been
Smoking marijuana.
No, really.
I am pretty sure he was.
I hope that doesn't shatter any illusions.
But we are fairly certain he was under the influence of the demon weed.
Something about his demeanor ...
Despite that demoralizing bit of news, it was a fan-fucking-tastic concert.
Eddie Vedder came out and sang "The Waiting."
And then, in the encore, he came out and sang "American Girl."
I took video of this.
I'll post it here in a couple days.
So, anyway, my Thursday night was pretty good.

P.S. Somebody said tonight that I live a charmed life.

No F-in' Way - Tom Petty getting high on the devil's weed? Who'd a thunk?!
Speaking of Tom Petty - he just went up a notch in my rockstar rankings...recently the Chili Peppers were accused of lifting key aspects of their latest single "Dani California" from Petty's "Mary Jane's Last Dance," last I heard Petty refused to sue saying there are already too many frivolous lawsuits tying up our court system.
Um, I'm gonna need you to go ahead and come in tomorrow. So if you could be here around nine, that would be great.
Oh, yeah. I'm gonna also need you to come in on Sunday too.
It's not a half day or anything.
