Gonna warm my bones
I got silence on my radio
Let the air waves flow

Things.

They do what they do.

Hit you high.

Hit you low.

I took that Sunday...

Which was one of those days, where things hit me low.

Y'know?

I almost got struck by lightning yesterday.

Really.

I was running.

When I turned East, toward the Bridgers, I ran into a 20 mph headwind.

I felt a charge in my left foot.

Then ligthning hit, about a half mile to my left.

It struck again, a half-second later, except much closer, right in front of me.

Both feet felt the charge, and my hair stood up.

Really.

Wow, that lightning shit is scary. Did you actually see the bolt hit in front of you? Do you know what it struck?

It hit the ground. I was in a wide-open meadow.

Freaky.

You should experiment and see if you have any super powers now.

I stuck a butter knife in an electrical outlet when I was 2 or 3. I still remember the pretty purple stars. I also remember wondering how I got from the couch I was standing on to the easy chair I ended up in 6 feet behind me.

Overall, I think it was a good thing.
