Got you in a stranglehold, baby

So, I was talking on the phone with my friend, Dan-O.

As per usual, we discussed the world's problems.

We also discussed our problems.

We talked about relationships, and all the messy imperfection that they carry.

I am in a bit of a funk, you see.

My good friend, Dan, was trying to help me out of it.

He said, "You know what, Joe?"

"What?"

"You should consider buying something... y'know, something you don't need, but you've always wanted."

"Like a car?"

"Well, not exactly. I'm not talking about a Mustang. You have a cool car. I'm talking about something that you never even thought of, y'know? Something you would never buy for yourself..."

"Like what?"

"Like, shit, I don't know..."

"Hmmmm."

"Like a crossbow."

"Or maybe a trident."

"Now you're talkin'."

"I could use a crossbow."

"Or a trident."

"Right."

Got out of my funk last night by taking the kids to the park. I got on the swing. Back and forth, higher and higher. Pretty soon it was gone, for now. But if it comes back, I know where to go.

Trident wouldn't be too bad, though.

Don't forget to consider the all mighty samurai sword or the wicked mace from the middle ages ... both are awesome representations of power

You need something useful too like a:

back scratcher

device that allows you to put on socks without having to bend over(occupational therapy)

Lazy-Boy chair that puts you in the upright position at the press of a button.

Grocery store thingies that allow you to fetch an item on a high shelf.
