When the wind blows and the rain feels cold
With a head full of snow
With a head full of snow
In the window, there's a face you know
Don't the night pass slow
Don't the nights pass slow
I am not sure how many of you watch the Sopranos, but they opened and closed the show with one of my all-time favorite songs, Moonlight Mile, by the Rolling Stones.
The sound of strangers sending nothing to my mind
Just another mad mad day on the road
I am just living to be lying by your side
But I'm just about a moonlight mile on down the road
Made a rag pile of my shiny clothes
Gonna warm my bones
Gonna warm my bones
I got silence on my radio
Let the air waves flow
Let the air waves flow
Oh I'm sleeping under strange strange skies
Just another mad mad day on the road
My dreams is fading down the railway line
I'm just about a moonlight mile on down the road
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
I'm hiding sister and I'm dreaming
I'm riding down your moonlight mile
I'm hiding baby and I'm dreaming
I'm riding down your moonlight mile
I'm riding down you moonlight mile
Last night, I went over to Bells' house.
We played some music.
Hmmm. What did we play?
Steal My Kisses (Ben Harper), Folsom Prison Blues (JC), Dead Flowers (Stones), Sympathy For the Devil (Stones), Not For You (Pearl Jam), Last Kiss (Pearl Jam), Plush (STP... for you, Jimmyboy... "this is a song called Plush"), Times Like These (Foo Fighters), Country Honk (Stones), Hide Your Love Away (Beatles, by way of Vedder), and, of course, the original composition, Circus Freak Whore (Sauer, Sauer, Militello & Bellcock).
We also did some freestylin'.
Look out, Jay Z.
Bells had a batch of homebrew ready, which was pretty damn good. He brews two batches at once, kegs them and has them on a CO2 tap in a dedicated frig in the garage.
Right behind the Carp Memorial Drum Set.
Speaking of our Heavy Metal Drummer.... Carp, if you are reading this... we could use some toms and another kick drum, and another electric guitar. My birthday is October 3rd.
I've been pretty shitty about updating this site lately.
I will endeavor to entertain my remaining 3 readers.
Adios.
