Blue, blue windows behind the stars
Yellow moon on the rise
Big birds flyin' across the sky
Throwing shadows on our eyes

Just downloaded some Neil Young that my friend, Verlaine, recommended.

Is good.

Is veddy good.

Helpless is absolutely sick on the Massey Hall disc.

Thanks.

I am currently downloading all the Bridge School Benefit box set. Lotta good stuff there. Neil puts on a benefit concert every year in San Francisco for the Bridge School, an educational program that helps kids with severe speech and physical impairments.

And the shows are all-star, all-acoustic. Elvis Costello, Pearl Jam, Thom Yorke (doing "After the Gold Rush." Dude.), Ben Harper, CSN ((&Y, natch)), Jack Johnson, Metallica... acoustic, R.E.M., Chili Peppers, Willie Nelson, Tenacious D, Emmylou Harris, Tom Waits, The Smashing Pumpkins, um, Neil, James Taylor, Wilco, and Lou Reed, among others.

Is good.

Is veddy good.

More on music... VH1 Classic was running this Rock and Roll Hall of Fame series of tv shows that was of classic albums. Each show was an hour dedicated to the recording of a classic album, and they showed how it was recorded, interview the band about it, and they will sit there with an acoustic and talk about hhow they wrote a specific part. They also interview the producers, who have the album loaded into the console, so they will isolate the lead guitar tracks, the drum tracks, etc.

It's cool.

One in particular involved Stevie Wonder getting the entire studio band that recorded Songs in the Key of Life back together (((they hadn't seen each other in 30 years))) and re-doing a bunch of the songs.

Watching Stevie Wonder talk about how he wrote the songs was incredible.

Especially when he got behind a drum kit and laid down the funk. Stevie Wonder can play drums like a mother.

I don't think I have ever seen a blind person play drums before.

And I'm telling you, Stevie Wonder can play the freaking drums.

It's really good. Watch it if you can. They also had a sweet Faces concert, a Queen album, which was way cooler than I thought it would be, and Fleetwood Mac Rumors, which was an absolute soap opera, except with Stevie Nicks.

There is a big storm happening right now.

I am going snowboarding tomorrow with Bells.

Because I can't go out like a punk.

I saw the Stevie Wonder episode. I had no idea he played the drums either. The man is a pure musical genius, no doubt about it.
