Haunting familiar yet
I can't seem to place it

Happy Thanksgiving.

The Green Bay Packers are 10-1.

10-and-fucking-1.

Lately, writing here feels like a molar extraction. Nevertheless, the tooth has to come out, doesn't it?

I went to California.

This is me teaching Kenna about Guns and Roses:

Let's Rock, kids.

Rock.

I can teach you, too, how to Rock. We will listen to Daft Punk and AC/DC. I will teach you moves. Smooth. We will cook bacon and rediscover the meaning of crispy. All for three easy payments of $ 19.99. The grass is green and the girls are pretty.

(How cute???)

My sister, Lizzy, came here for Thanskgiving. I know, for a fact, that some of you harbor lust for her.

(K-Top, Jimmy, [redacted], and probably Ron, I'm talking to you. And also Julius and Dave, you fucking perverts. You, too, dude. She's my goddamn sister, for chrissakes. Doug. Eyes up here. My sister, dude.)

Not on my watch, bucko.

Not on my watch.

The chicas and I gave Thanks at a pretty sweet spot.

If you are a regular reader, you've seen pictures of this place before.

It's pretty old school. It gave us all a bit of a Shining vibe.

Words of wisdom, Lloyd, my man. Words of wisdom.

I feel you will have to deal with this matter in the harshest possible way, Mr. Torrance.

There's nothing I look forward to with greater pleasure, Lloyd.

The dinner was tasty. There was bison pot roast and cornbread-sausage stuffing.

Some facts: I have been rehearsing a lot, guitar-wise; I have been working some, work-wise; I have been straight rocking (in addition to work and guitar); I have been enjoying the full moon, shining on the snow at night.

Bells came by with Aden.

I know they are blurry, but I really, really, really, really, really hate flash pictures.

I really don't want to write this. I really don't. If you had a shovel, you'd turn over some juicy details, I'm certain. These truths I hold self-evident: I love my girlfriend, I really do, tremendously; I love my sisters; Dan is my best friend; I miss my dog; I'm worried about the economy; I talk to my friend, Will, nearly every day; I firmly believe my cat descended from heaven; It's not a good meal unless you break a sweat; My friend, Josh, gave me the book A River Why, and I have since give it to five (5) people... it's a great book... thanks, Josh; I recently embarked on an art project with K-Top and I think we are headed for great things; I wish I could play bass; It's a matter of time before I buy a drum set... a matter of time ...like the glaciers, moving slowly, retaining street cred; you might think this sounds odd, but most people who meet me, end up liking me in spite of themselves; they do. They really do.

Also, I am currently rocking a killer pair of sunglasses-

These are all truths, and you know it to be true,

Search your feelings, Luke.

Don't hate.

Another fact: this kid is cute, and these pictures are keepers.

Bells and Aden came by to see Lizzy and hang out. Chris and I didn't play guitar, for pretty much the first time in Aden's worldscope.

He looked at us, shrugged, palms upturned and asked, "Why no rockin' out?"

He really asked that.

You can't always rock out, although you should never stop trying. Sometimes you have to chill. Drink some tea, do a crossword, maybe get a pair of glasses, or an avalanche transceiver.

Why no rockin' out?

You should ask yourself that question.

Thanks for the T-day call. Was great to hear you. I am one who does like you in spite of myself.
I am thankful that you do write this blog. Also one who ,as you mentioned, harbors lust for the girl in the pictures who just happens to be your sister...heh heh...
(truth be told it was the slightly damp shirt picture taht did it for me...what a great smile!)
Anybody takes advantage of that girl and there will be a long line of gentlemen that will want a word with the offender. The word will most likely be something out of the old Batman series with Adam West. (BLAM.....K-POW!!...SOCK!! to name a few of those words...)
Dude you have my friendship and interest in your blog. The phsiology of winter months makes the task of writing that much harder . I know this because Tyler knows this.
Hello to Bells and the family Bells.Aden is apprently wiser than his years. "Why no rockin out?" is a perfectly legitimate question and should be asked of allllll those not doing so.
So dear readers....Why no rockin' out?

Sounds like a good turkey day.

In preparation for all the family here, I made it through the final four boxes from our move. Found my long-missing tea pot, and started drinking devine loose tea, again.

It's a great way to end the day.

I think I might be inclined to lust after your sister, but I need a bit more to go on. Thanks.

I need to ask myself that question on a daily basis, but my four year old definitely has the answer covered for himself. He told me a while ago that he "...rocks ALL the time!"
