In touch with the ground
I'm on the hunt, I'm after you
More rocking from Saturday:
We went to a nice dinner with the Bells family after, but, as you can see, the rocking continued:
Aden was funny. He was pretty focused on his rock gestures:
Stanette, my dad and I drove into Yellowstone on Sunday. We saw some bighorn:
Also, we stopped and hung out with a group of scientists who were doing an intensive, 30-day wolf study. The Leopold Peak pack had brought down an elk, and they were all lolling around the bloody carcass. We viewed it safely through their super-sweet optics from about a mile away.
The Leopold Peak pack territory is in the north central portion of this map.
Since we were looking through scopes, we have no pictures... so I found this for you. Somebody else took this one of a Yellowstone wolf snacking on some elk:
I think that kind of stuff is awesome. What a weekend.

I'm starting my own pack using the wolves around my house. I'm calling it the jim pack. I'm collecting wolves one shell at a time.
Oh, jimmy. You're just pissed because the wolves are making you have to work to shoot deer now.
Did you actually have to get out of your truck to shoot one this year?
Lost and I'm found...
hungy like the wooooolf.
I remember that playing on mtv when they actually had closet classics that we could call classic.
Last week I read about a man in Southern Wisconsin who trapped a bobcat, took pictures and released it. The dude went back an hour later to reset his traps and the cat attacked him. The cat waited, stalked and attacked him after he was released from the trap. Don't sweat the wolves, worry about the cat family.
Hey Vess..
ever hear the one about the lady who saves a snake, nurses it back to health and then it bites her and as she's dying from the venom she asks the snake why...snake replies..you knew I was a snake when you saved me.
