I fought the law and the law won

Today's Bozeman Daily Chronicle police reports:

* A woman reported that someone was controlling her TV, computers and heat from a remote location and that someone had placed a porcupine in her yard. This was the third time the caller had reported these events.

* A man who evacuated his North 19th Avenue home after seeing smoke had burned food while cooking.

* A 58-year-old woman who had no heat said she had torn the wires off her furnace when she thought the floor was so hot the nails were glowing red. She also thought people were spying on her. Police notified mental health services.

* An intoxicated man entered an East Lincoln Street residence thinking it was his around 11:30 p.m. The victim did not want to press charges.

* A caller said there was a “kid yelling for help, making a lot of noise” in a Moose Ridge Road apartment around 4:30 a.m. The caller cut his finger breaking a window to get into the apartment because no one answered the door when he knocked. He told officers that the person inside had overdosed on hallucinogenic mushrooms.

* Someone took a baseball bat to a mailbox on Hidden Valley Road for the fourth time, according to a caller.

* A groundskeeper moved out of a home where he was living for free and took a microwave. The home was also dirty and food and garbage was left behind.

* A woman reported that her 17-year-old daughter was caught “smoking a bowl out on the porch” of North River Rock Drive residence where she was babysitting.
