How come I end up where I started?
How come I end up where I went wrong?

I love me some Radiohead.

They performed the following song at the Grammys with the USC marching band. The USC marching band played, famously, on the Fleetwood Mac song, "Tusk."

I went to USC for law school.

Anyway, the following song is called, "15 Step." It is on their album In Rainbows, which they gave away.. FOR FREE. Why?

Why?

For free?

Well, because they are pretty much the brightest, biggest geniuses making music right now.

This is not the Grammy performance, which is getting ripped off Youtube systematically with frightening precision.

But download the record. They freaking GAVE IT AWAY. And it is the best album I have heard in the last couple years.

How come I end up where I started
How come I end up where I went wrong
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out and you cut the string.

How come I end up where I started
How come I end up where I went wrong
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
First you reel me out and then you cut the string

You used to be all right
What happened?
Did the cat get your tongue?
Did your string come undone?
One by one
One by one
It comes to us all
It's as soft as your pillow

You used to be all right
What happened?
Etcetera Etcetera
Fads for whatever
Fifteen steps
Then a sheer drop

How come i end up where i started?
How come I end up where I went wrong
Won't take my eyes off the ball again
You reel me out and you cut the string.

So...not a Radiohead fan. (I do not like Coldplay either, and that probably means there is something seriously wrong with me, but I care not.) I am known to be fickle when it comes to music, so in five years I may have come around...or not. Enjoyed the percussion part of the song though. And the seizure-like spazzy stuff at the end made me want to stick a fork in something.
