I once met a girl
Or should I say
She once met me

I am frustrated with some people in my life.

I need to trim back on some friends.

Simplify things.

In general, I put a lot more out than I receive. Certain personality types take advantage of that.

Also, I don't care for mushrooms.

It's not like I won't eat them (I am now), but something about them skeeves me out a bit.

I just watched Rachel Getting Married. It was excellent, but really painful to watch. I had no idea Anne Hathaway was that good of an actress.

By the way, I also will consume, but do not really like, olives.

And I don't like cream-based salad dressing.

I do, on the other hand, really, really enjoy going as fast as I can on a snowboard on really steep, dangerous terrain. Ranch dressing? No.

This?

No problem.

Oh, God. My old neighbor called me today.

I was climbing the step mill at the gym. I hadn't heard from him in a while, so I picked up, breathing pretty hard and hoping to say, "I'll catch you when I am done."

No.

He said, "What are you doing tonight?"

Sure as shit, I wasn't going to say I was watching Rachel Getting Married, so I said, "Nothing."

He invited me to a seminar at the Hilton Garden Inn.

I asked, "What is it?" (He is a landscaper. I was confused. Seminar on landscaping?)

He said, "A multi-level marketing seminar with the top earners in the company."

I said, "Are you fucking kidding me?"

"No."

"Please tell me you are high, then."

"Ahhh, no. But when I first got involved, I thought of you right away. You know so many people, and you have a lot of good relationships..."

"Exactly, dude. And I don't ruin them with Amway or Herbalife, or whatever Ponzi scheme you have bought into. If you can get your money back, do it. If not, sorry, but you should walk away. This is free legal advice, and I hope you take it."

And this wasn't even the relationship I was referring to at the beginning of this post.

To end this on a positive note... Montana really does look like that picture below. It is rugged, and to get to places like that, you have to hike all day and be in really good shape. Most people don't see the good stuff because it requires effort. It makes it that much more rewarding when you do get there, though.

P.S. In the picture below, the lake is not airbrushed. It's not a lake, it is a "tarn." They are that color because the snowmelt and runoff that creates them contains minerals and there is no drainage out of that tarn, so they take on this weird aquamarine color. (Not exact science. It is a remembrance of something I heard from a park ranger. Look it up if you need the details.)

Nothing stops me in my tracks quicker than when I realize that someone won't do for me what I would do for them. And since I am a selfless giver, that happens more often than I like. I feel your pain, Big Guy. But, as always, I've got your back.

I've lost so many friends and acquaintances to cults over the years: churches, AA, Melaleuca.

Did you ever see the movie, Go ?

I also enjoyed Rachel Getting Married, very cringe-worthy.
I also, am not in love with cream-based salad dressings.
