Your stairway lies on the whispering wind

Does anyone read this any more?

If not, it's too bad, because I think this blog has been exceptional lately.

I don't have access to my hit counter. I lost my archives (it used to be good!)< and I guess it still is. It doesn't matter. So long as I know K-top and B-lain are reading, it's worth doing.

I taught myself how to play organ tonight.

I did.

It is actualy an incredible instrument. There is a lot of noise, and if you can put your left foot, your left hand, and your right hand all in the same key, and then put your right foot down on what looks like a gas pedal, except it controls the volume.

I did Loving Cup, with a moderate degree of success.

I must bid you good night.

P.S. Inside the bench, I found music books, "HOW TO PLAY THE ORGAN," dated, in pencil, 6-1-77.

So the organ is at least thirty years old.

Which is supernice.

P.P.S. This is for Tony:

You NEED that laser thingy.
With the organ and a smoke machine you have all the makings of a Deep Purple cover band. Screw Blue Oyster Cult and their auspicious lack of cow bell!!
Highway Star...that's what I'm talking about!!!
Dig it.

Or you could take it out in a Sun Ra direction, straight into space. Sun Ra did some wild shit with oddball organs and wierd Egyptian hats. Gotta have the wierd Egyptian hats to make the organ sound more csmic.
