Can I hit it and quit?

I have a backlog of pictures...

We spent Saturday and Sunday in Big Sky.

We rode the lift up, ate a little lunch and hiked around.

It is beautiful in Montana right now.

A band called Mingo Fishtrap played on Saturday. It was a free concert, which was a nice bonus.

They are from Austin, but sound kind of New Orleans.

They called the stage "The Pope's Hat."

They had a horn section, percussion, drums, guitar, keyboards & bass.

The front man was pretty good. His voice sounded like Ray LaMontagne, but set to a totally different style of music. They covered some James Brown, which was great.

They had a climbing wall and skate park there for the wayward youths.

Aden came and brought his family.

Ethan danced.

Aden did an awesome robot.

Airplane ride.

We had a good time.

Here are some older pictures from June:

^^ I have been tending to the hot peppers and tomatoes with great anticipation.

The garden doth grow, yet, alas, it doth grow slowly.

Awww, aren't they cute?

And, as you know, there is always time to get up, get, get down up in the Boogie Station.

And here is some free-form, toneless jazz styling for you:

Even worse:

Oh and I forgot this picture of this house up near Beehive Basin in Big Sky:

It was so space-age daydream cool that I speculated that the only person who should live in this house should be Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie.

I NEED to see a picture of the lawn.
That sounds too funny.

I don't know if it's just a head trip or optical illusion but I've been through Montana twice and both times the sky does seem closer. For some reason it seems like you're always on a plateau and the clouds seem different.

Maybe it's just the vastness of the open space, but it doesn't feel that way in Kansas.
