Just about a moonlight mile down the road

On Saturday, I had a few guys over to play music. It is always better with four musicians, rather than two or three. You have the barrier of everyone knowing or liking different songs or artists, which limits the scope of music you can play (for example, when Bells and I play, we have a repertoire of close to 200 songs), but nothing really beats the groove of two guitars, bass and drums. We played some Radiohead, plenty of Stones, Pearl Jam, some obligatory 12 bar blues, and Got Loud.

We were fortunate enough to have a really gifted guitar player over. He played a lot of bass, which makes a world of difference. It was fun. He also shredded some lead in spectacular fashion.

That night, Stanette, Jill and I went out to dinner at the Gallatin Gateway Inn.

Sunday morning, we sat in the hot tub, had some breakfast, and went to see a matinee of Avatar. It wasn't 3D, since we live in a pretty isolated area, but it was quite a visual experience.

Unfortunately, I have a large amount of work that needs to get done this week, and a significant storm is making its way here.

That, my friends, is what we call a conflict of interest.
