I should have known

Just checking in with you.

Hello.

The new Tom Petty record, "Mojo," is really good. It is slow tempo, filthy, swampy, blues. Mike Cambpell, his longtime guitar player is a monster.

I enjoyed the NBA Finals.

The professional side of life is a little like a sinusoidal wave. I am worried, and looking up from the bottom of a hill. Fortunately, I am really good at putting my head down and churning back uphill. Like Sisyphus.

^That right there is some scary verbiage. Too bad I can't apply those smarts to anything else in my life.

That's not true.

Actually, I have been focusing on music of late. Playing it, making it, learning it, singing it. Believe it or not, that takes some wattage. My dimmer switch is dimed.

There is going to be some crazy kayaking. The rivers are at flood stage. Everything is pushing hard.

I'll see you on the other side of the weekend.

I think I caught part of that song on the radio the other day. Sounded good. Glad you're having fun playing/learning music. Hey, your old teacher, I.R.V., was mentioned in convo the other day. My bros are playing with a mutual friend/former jammer of his. Looking forward to their upcoming gig the end of August.
