I fought the law and the law won

I haven't done this for a while, but today's Bozeman Police reports were too good to pass up.

These are direct excerpts from the Bozeman Daily Chronicle:

€ A man passed out in front of a bar on West Babcock Street. He was given a ride to a friend's house.

€ Officers Tased a man who refused to listen to orders during an arrest.

€ A man was "hog tied" outside a home on Rose Street after he started fighting with people. When officers arrived, the man was tied up on the sidewalk. An officer gave him a ride home.

€ A child on South Church Avenue called 911 because he was mad at his mom.

€ A woman on South 14th Avenue told police that someone put dog poop on her friend's vehicle.

€ Teenagers were in the lobby of the Law and Justice Center. They wanted to photograph an officer for a scavenger hunt.

€ Four men in a vehicle on West Madison Avenue flashed passersby with a nude picture of a woman.

My favorite is the one with the kid calling the cops.

My favorite is the hog-tied man. Makes you wonder if the cops showed up and just shrugged and said, "Well, our job is done. C'mon, buddy. Let's get you home."

Nice blog, Joe.

I was the original police blotter poet for the Chron 12 years ago. I keep this one taped to the wall at the metro daily where I now work.

"Shoppers at Albertson's reported a man inside a parked car holding a knife to a woman's face. Officers determined the woman was using the man's knife to clean her teeth."

Be well
