Thirty dirty birds, sittin' on a curb, chirpin' and burpin and eatin' dirty earthwormsOy, was they disturbed

^That was from last May, when Carp and Stacey came to visit (and buy the Mitten a drum kit). It is a heee-yuge eagles nest. We floated the lower Gallatin in kayaks, and this nest was just off a side channel. A pair of eagles were camped out there, and I went with Carp to take these pictures.




They buzzed us off.



I felt bad for invading their turf... but it was pretty cool to see them in action like that.
