You're finally here and I'm a mess
I was asked if the two-piece version of The Mitten could play at a wedding yesterday. I was flattered, but declined without even asking my better (and vastly more talented) half, Stanette.
The girl getting married is really nice, and a friend of mine, but it just seemed that it would be something that I would later regret, and view as a wasted Saturday.
I knwo this seems like the "new house blog" lately, but that's been my life. I do have a major backlog of pictures to upload and show you... if I ever get my computer set up. Nonetheless, the settling in and unpacking process marches onward.
If there is a downside to doubling the square footage of my living space, it is filling that square footage.
New chocolate leather couch, chair and ottoman came, as did matching barstools. Also, this funky cabinet and coffee table... and a rug, which, needless to say, really ties the room together, man.
This afternoon/evening, a different iteration of The Mitten will be rocking the house. Bells will be coming over to jam with me. I am loving my new guitar and amp. The tone on that Mesa Boogie amp is phenomenal. So much fun.
Last night, we sat on the back deck and watched about ten deer grazing on the hill, underneath a huge double rainbow. It's tough to beat that.
That's it for now.
(Hope you are happy, Blain and Omar. I'm trying to give you some content to help you while away your day as you pretend to work.)
