Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out
Hey, I ... will stand my ground

Stanette made breakfast while I learned this song.

Fun little dittty.

Then we went out with no real purpose.

Well, that isn't true. We went to the Wingate Hotel, where the regional Steinway dealer had a bunch of, you guessed it, Steinway pianos.

I don't play piano, but Stanette did when she was younger and we have been tossing around the idea of getting one.

Not only do I not play piano, but I know very little about them. The guy there was really cool, and we were the only ones in this room full of grand pianos.

I was drawn to one in particular that was absolutely gorgeous- this deep, rich burled wood that was made from one African tree, to ensure a perfect match of color and grain. They peel the tree in a circular pattern to get this cool look... and then, they keep the wood from that tree, labeled by serial number, in case you get a crack or something. Because, you know I like to keep my grains and stains tight, yo.

I was poking around, and I casually asked how much something like that would cost. Without blinking he said, "Around $ 70,000."

Just a smidge out of my price range. And, much like going to the car dealer and driving the nicest car first, I am sure it ruined my opinion of any future pianos down in the hyundai price range.

If you live in Bozeman, you too, can go to the Wingate this weekend between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and play a $ 70,000 piano. It's worth it, even if you don't play. They are beautiful.

Here is one we are considering for around 1/70th of the cost of a Steinway:

After that, we grabbed a 1000 calorie carrot cake latte (outstanding sugar rush), stopped by a store called oil and vinegar, and then went to a second-hand/halloween costume store.

I am now watching USC trounce Notre Dame.

Stanette is out grocery shopping for stuff to make homemade pizza.

It is snowing.

This evening, we are going to Norris Hot Springs, an outdoor hot spring that features live music while you soak and enjoy a microbrew.

Now if you will excuse me, my cat needs me. She wants to lay on the couch and watch football, so I gotta squeeze that in today, too.

I feel so productive on days like this.
