The man in the trench coat, badge out, laid off
Says he's got a bad cough
Wants to get it paid off
I have been remiss in my posting lately. We have had five different sets of guests stay with us since October, ranging from two to ten people, for durations ranging from four to eleven days. The final group is here until Thursday. All fun, but not conducive to me sitting down at the computer to write.
Not to mention, my laptop is really on the fritz, despite only being 6 months old. Windows Vista really sucks as an operating system.
Add to that complete upheaval at work and a very snowy March (yes!!), and it all equals a neglected blog.
Oh well, enough of that...
There are a few days left to ski season, and it looks like weather will cooperate by adding yet more snow to the mix. The pond skim is Saturday afternoon, and I have half a notion to enter. We may get a room down there and stay for the festivities.

I am down to my last couple books, and then I have to re-stock my bedside table. I am reading a book Josh gave me, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, which won a Pullitzer. I recently read two books by China Mieville, Perdido Street Station, and The Scar. I loved them both.
If anyone has any good fiction suggestions, please leave a comment or an email.

I guess I have to buy a lawnmower. After I bought the house last summer, I only needed to mow the lawn twice, so I paid a friend witha landscaping business to do it, but that's not practical for the long term.
I hate buying items like this. I'd much rather spend money on frivolities like guitar effects, snowboard gear, season passes or fancy dinenrs.
I also have to buy a new phone. Water and snow damaged mine, so I cannot see who is calling, and it randomly turns itself on and off.

Spring has sprung, for today. It is 60 degrees outside. I think I am going to go enjoy that now.
