The day is done
I'm having fun
I think I'm dumb
Maybe just happy

Thank you all on behalf of my sister, my family and, most importantly, Lucy for all your kind words.

This particular procedure has loomed over our family's collective head for the last six years. Over a million dollars have been spent on Lucy's health care, and, believe me, she is worth every penny. It is cool to know that (medical) miracles can happen.

I swung by Will Danger's house in Gig Harbor, Washington for a couple days before heading back to Bozeman. It was great to see him and hang out with his family. He is an absolute nutbar, and he is one of my best friends. We can have an entire conversation comprised only of quotes from The Big Lebowski.

We went out for pizza in Tacoma; we went to Home Depot; we hung drywall in his basement; I pitched wiffle balls for his kids to hit (Willie and Amy both have natural swings); we herded (?) his chickens (yes, he has chickens); played fetch with the dogs; We shooed three deer out of his garden with a bb gun; I cooked new york strips for everyone, and; we packed in an 8 hour marathon of the first season of Heroes on DVD. Holy shit, that is a great show.

Yesterday, I did the power drive from the Gig to Bozeman in just over ten hours. Snoqualmie Pass was beautiful, as was Coeur D'Alene.

As I rolled the length of Montana, I realized that this is my home, and it probably always will be.
