The Can Can's such a pretty show
They'll steal your heart away
But backstage, back on earth again
The dressing rooms are gray

Stranger Than Fiction was an excellent movie. Will Ferrell is an IRS agent. Emma Thompson is an author. He begins to hear her narrate his life, which just so happens to be the plot of book she is writing. Dustin Hoffmann is a literature professor who helps him and the guy who was Buster in Arrested Development plays his co-worker.

I don't want to say a lot more, because I don't want to ruin the plot for the both of you who read this and actually take my recommendation to see the movie. It's pretty cool.

Rent it.

Listening to quiet music. You have to strain to hear it. There is dust on the desk and the shelves.

You think about things. The past can cripple you with nostalgia, so you keep moving, like a shark. Don't stop. Don't look back.

The desk lamp projects a hazy, yellow cone of light. The dog softly snores.

You notice your shirt smells stale. You're not moving like a shark. You don't hold the promise of a full moon.

There is a bright circle of reflected light on the wall. The room is dark. Disheveled.

You can't move forward mindlessly and you can't look back.

So don't.

Just be.

It's okay.

You can do it.
